Sean Applegate is a seasoned Wide Area Network (WAN) Optimization engineer with over 10 years focused on performance engineering across the WAN. He has significant large enterprise experience with TCP Acceleration, SCPS, Application Acceleration, Data Deduplication, QoS, Performance Monitoring and other WAN performance-centric technologies. Sean currently is a Sr. Systems Engineer for Riverbed's Federal Sales Division. In his current role Sean helps large government agencies design and deploy enterprise-wide WAN and Application optimization solutions that commonly include satellite networks in support of warfighters. These solutions enable his clients to realize an outstanding ROI and significant increase in productivity. Sean's previous experience includes seven years at Packeteer where he focused on optimizing application performance over the WAN. Sean also has experience consulting to the US government and as a United States Marine. He leverages his experience as a deployed warfighter to help keep his government clients' needs and requirements front and center while helping them optimize their performance.
